Annual flu outbreaks are a regular and foreseeable public health challenge. At the recent ESWI Flu Summit in Brussels, Vaccines Today sat down with experts from Europe and the US to discuss issues around immunisation against influenza.

The World Health Organisation has issued new guidelines which makes pregnant women a top priority for flu vaccination. Dr Caroline Brown of the WHO Regional Office for Europe and Dr Litjen Tan, co-chair of the US Annual Influenza Vaccine Summit, discuss the recommendations and how to get this message to the public.
