Originally from Italy, Silvia Romeo is a Policy Officer at the European Cancer Organisation (ECO), a Brussels-based not-for-profit federation of member organisations working in cancer at a European level.
Silvia is passionate about European affairs, and she has solid expertise in EU health policy, with a particular focus on cancer prevention, vaccination and women’s health. She has previous experience working at, and collaborating with, EU and national institutions and policymakers, NGOs, patients’ organisations, and industries.
Moreover, Silvia has solid expertise in youth policy, and she is currently representing ECO within the Youth4Health Network of the WHO Regional Director for Europe. Finally, Silvia is also a member of the ThinkYoung Vaccine Coalition which brings together young Europeans to advocate, engage and inform young people on the important value of vaccination.
