Dirk Poelaert is a MD and is currently working as Head of Medical Affairs, Europe, at Novavax. He has more than 25 years of experience working in the pharmaceutical industry. He was, for several years, a local medical director in Belgium where he was responsible for clinical development, pharmacovigilance, regulatory affairs, medical affairs and medical governance. Prior to joining Novavax in 2023, he worked with GSK Vaccines where he developed a special interest in science communication.
